A 19thC Chamberlain Worcester egg stand, of oval form with a gilt outline and gilt highlighted strap work handles, partially decorated with flowers to the centre with egg cup holders, 21cm wide, and a Derby cream jug, of circular form sparsely decorated with gilt highlighted flowers on a circular foot, red stamp mark beneath. A pair of mid- 20th Century Royal Worcester Plates, the centres well painted in colours with panels of fruit within ornate gilded and embossed borders, 10 ¾” diameter Condition: One has some slight surface scratches to centre painted panel, one only signed E. Townsend, generally good/average condition, gilding generally good throughout. [WORLD CUP]: A small selection of unsigned First Day Covers and Presentation Stamps relating to the 1966 World Cup including two presentation packs of the set of three value postage stamps issued for the World Cup, along with the England Winners 4d overprint stamp issued following England's victory, three different First Day Covers issued to commemorate England's victory, each with different designs and images and with various postage stamps including the 4d England Winners postage stamp, all post marked on the First Day of Issue at Liverpool, Worcester and London, 18th August 1966, and a Pitney Bowes mechanical postage meter strike at Harlow, Essex, dated 11th July 1966 for the inaugural match of the World Cup, England vs. Uruguay. NEVEU GINETTE: (1919-1949) French Violinist. Dark fountain pen ink signature ('Ginette Neveu') and date, 1944, in her hand on a page removed from an autograph album. Together with individual album pages signed by the violinist Henri Verbrugghen (A.M.Q.S., Worcester, 1902) and the cellist William Henry Squire. Autographs of Neveu are rare following her tragically early death at the age of 30 in a plane crash. VG, 3
