A 19th century Chamberlain's Worcester pot pourri, decorated in a Japanese pattern, together with a Meissen figure of a Victorian lady, a pair of Continental tea canisters and other related china. Condition Report: Meissen figure: condition good, similar figure restored.Scallop edge owl and Spode vase: No apparent major damage.Two Paris tea caddies, chipped, oval teapot very crazed, circular teapot spout broken, pot pourri cover damage and gilding rubbed.
A Worcester teapot and cover, circa 1768-70 of globular form decorated in the Giles workshop with flower sprays in 'Dry Blue' enamel, the flowers including typical Giles features such as a 'divergent tulip', with gold edged rims, the spout and handle gilded with characteristic graduated dashes, the cover surmounted with a flower finial edged in blue, 14.3cm. Underside of lid is chipped (1cm diam) to rim but has not affected the upper rim. Chips to the flower finial. End of spout is chipped. Some wear to the gilding on the handle consistent with use. Surface scratches to white glaze which also affects the blue decoration. Minor nibble to rim of teapot (where the lid sits).
