Sir Thomas Brock for Royal Worcester, The Bather Surprised, circa 1875, model 486, a ceramic figure of a semi-clad Classical woman by a tree stump, on a gilt base, impressed T Brock, London, stamped mark and impressed 8b8, 65cm high Note: A native of Worcester, Brock worked for several of the Worcester factories in the 1850s and 60s before completing his professional training under sculptor John Foley in London. His most famous sculptures are the Victoria monument outside Buckingham Palace and the Albert Memorial under Foley. This Worcester figure is a copy of his 1868 sculpture Salamacis. The Worcester version was exhibited at the 1878 Paris Exhibition and was produced in three sizes, this being the largest.

Eleven Albany figures are boxed but with no certificates and appear undamaged unless mentioned above. Four Royal Figures: Emily & Elaine boxed. Cecilia & Alice unboxed. Cecila with crack in ribbon at reverse. Other three appear undamaged. No certificates for these four either.

A seven piece hallmarked silver mounted dressing table set, each piece set with a hand painted Royal Worcester plaque, comprising a pair of hand brushes, a jar, and an octagonal pin dish, signed by James Stinton, a hand mirror, and a pair of coat brushes (af), the handles engraved "GGW", Saunders & Mckenzie, Birmingham 1912 and 1926-1930 (7). CONDITION REPORT: Hand brush panels: minor surface scratching, signed for James Stinton, on one, the silver is cracked at the handle/brush pressure point. Hand mirror: crack across panel, silver is dented on round panel and on the handle, signature on the panel is obscured by the rim. Pin dish: the panel has one very minor scratch, signed James Stinton, silver is slightly dented. Jar: good condition, circular panel has one tiny scratch, signed James Stinton, mirrored interior to lid cracked. Clothes brushes: panels both cracked, one crazed, both signatures (one Stinton) obscured by rim.
Four Royal Worcester figures; "Masquerade", "Polly Put The Kettle On", "Tuesday's Child is Full of Grace"and "Wednesday's Child is Full of Woe", also a Royal Doulton figure HN2800 "Carrie" (second) (5). CONDITION REPORT: Masquerade: chip to ribbon and fingers, otherwise the rest appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
A Royal Worcester blush ivory jug of trilobed baluster form with scallop shaped rim, hand painted and gilt heightened with floral sprays, with gilt handle, marked to base, registered number 167140 1507, date code for 1893, height 18.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: General good condition, areas of minor rubbing and scratching to the gilt, one firing flaw to the neck.
