A pair of Minton cabinet plates depicting sailing ships at sea, impressed mark; two Mintons cabinet plates depicting children fishing on seashells; a Royal Worcester cabinet plate depicting fish with waterlily, signed H Davis; a cabinet plate depicting coastal scene, titled Vico Bay of Naples to base; and an Alfred B Pearce cabinet plate depicting a lake scene.Qty: 7Condition report:Children fishing on seashells - both are dicoloured, quite yellow on the surface, one also has a bag brown patch to the top area, both are a bit scratched on the surface, one has a small hairline crack to the rim otherwise no cracks or chips, the gilt is a little rubbed and worn on the edges.The fish plate is also quite yellow in colour. All the others have no chips or cracks but all are a little scratched on the painted designs, all show light rubbing to the edges.

Of Colonel Cody aviation interest; a piece of fabric taken from the fatal crash on 7th August 1913, when Cody was test flying his latest design, the Cody Floatplane. Written on and sent by Lance Corporal A. Slack of the 2nd Worcester Regiment, who attended the scene, to Miss Florence Jones, our vendors grandmother. 19 x 14cm. The aircraft broke up at 200 feet and Cody and his passenger, the cricketer William Evans, were killed at Ball Hill, Laffans Plain, Cove Common near Farnborough. His flight of 16 October 1908 is recognised as the first official flight of a piloted heavier-than-air machine in Great Britain.Cpl Albert Slack died in France on the 13th August 1915.
