A French porcelain inset gilt metal mantel clock, Retailed by Manning, Worcester The eight-day countwheel bell-striking movement with Roman numeral cartouche porcelain dial with blue ground chapter ring and cherub painted centre signed MANNING WORCESTER, the spelter case with lovebird surmount above drum mounted on a rectangular plinth fronted by a porcelain lambrequin painted with a classical maiden flanked by foliate scroll cast putto terms, on floral panel fronted shaped base with lion paw and disc cast feet, the rear stamped P.H. MOUREY 69, 38cm high, on original giltwood stand.
A Great Western Railway cast brass locomotive nameplate, Dunraven Castle, approximately 176cm long. Built at Swindon in August 1925, the Class 4073 4-6-0 tender locomotive Dunraven Castle, No.4092, was first allocated to the shed at Old Oak Common. It was subsequently stabled at Worcester (August 1950), Reading (March 1959), and Oxford, prior to withdrawal from service in December 1961.
