An early Worcester porcelain sauceboat of oval form with scroll handle and dog’s head thumb rest, the body with moulded scroll work and foliate panels delicately enamelled with a Chinese maiden in a garden setting amongst vases, a willow tree, flower sprigs and a bird, 11.5 cm high, 22 cm wide, circa 1753-55, restoration to footrim and lip.
