Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen (1793 Pte S. Cowles. Worcester: Regt) nearly extremely fine £100-£140 --- S. Cowles served during the Second Boer War with the 2nd Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment, and was accidentally shot and killed at Rietfontein on 8 December 1900 (latest published transcription of casualty roll erroneously lists his number as ‘1763’, and his initial as ‘G’).
Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen, South Africa 1901 (3179 Corpl: M. Burke. Worcester: Regt.) suspension slightly loose, very fine £90-£120 --- Michael Burke was born in Staffordshire and attested into the Worcestershire Regiment on 12 March 1892. He served in South Africa during the Boer War and was transferred to the Reserve on 8 August 1902, before his discharge on 9 March 1904. Sold with copy service papers and copy medal roll extracts.
The Worcestershire Regiment 2nd Volunteer Battalion Officer’s Helmet Plate 1883-1901. An extremely fine example in blackened silver plate with burnished detail, the crowned star pattern back plate with laurel and Garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of black velvet an eight pointed star with central Worcester Tower and a scroll below ‘Firm’, below the Garter double title scroll ‘The Worcestershire Regiment’ ‘2nd Volunteer Battalion’, complete with all three loop fasteners, very fine overall condition £240-£280

A Coalport figurine “La Belle Epoque Lady Evelyn”, designed by Jack Glynn, limited edition No'd. 1310/12500, together with another Coalport figurine “Ladies of Fashion Summer Days”, modelled by John Bromley and another Coalport “Femme Fatale Madame de Pompadour” modelled by J Bromley, No'd. 2354/12500, another “Belle Epoque” figure “Helena riding in Hyde Park”, sculpted by Jack Glynn, No'd, 1161/12500 and a Royal Worcester figure “The Fairest Rose”, modelled by N Stevens, No'd. 3577/12500 CONDITION REPORTS The Fairest Rose is missing something from her hand, presumably a rose. Helena - Riding in Hyde Park: the riding crop is loose but present. Otherwise all have general wear and tear conducive with age and use and in need of a clean. A couple of the edges of some of the flower decoration is rather rough but this may just be manufacture rather than chipping.

An early 19th century Grainger Worcester painted porcelain Botanical plaque painted with a flower filled Warwick vase on a marble ledge with a passion flower, modern gilt frame panel 31.5 x 41cm., overall 48 x 57.5cm.Condition: The panel has been professionally restored with one crack running across lower half and another across top right hand corner. There would appear to be overpainting / touching up along these repairs which a UV light picks up. Christie's London, 11th February 1991, lot 149.
