ENGLISH CIVIL WAR RELICS . A small framed display of relics collected by a detectorist on the site of the Battle of Worcester which took place in 1651. Items include an early clay pipe , a uniform button and a hammered coin. All the pieces are mounted on velvet and housed in a frame measuring 8x6 inches. 20-30
ENGLISH CIVIL WAR EXCAVATED SWORD BLADE. A sword blade dating from the early part of the C17th, believed to have been found on the banks of the River Seven in Worcestershire in the 1970’s. Small loss to the very tip but otherwise complete and in sound condition. This blade was also found with the remains of a Civil War helmet, the find spot was at the point where the defeated Royalist forces fleeing from the defeat at the battle of Worcester were attempting to cross the Severn at the narrowest part to avoid Bewdley Bridge.

A Royal Worcester plate by James Stinton decorated with a 'Golden Crested Wren', signed Jas Stinton, titled to the underside, factory mark for 1915, 23.3cm diameter and two Royal Worcester tazza's decorated with a 'Goldfinch' and a 'Wren', each signed E Barker and titled to the underside with factory marks for 1913, 23.7cm diameter, both tazzas extensively cracked CONDITION REPORT: 'Goldfinch' - Two large cracks running in from the rim to the foot. Significant crazing to the glaze. Several other hair line cracks including two running in from the rim to the foot and three curved ones to the centre. 'Wren' - One large crack than runs in from the rim and then when it gets to the foot it curves around and follows the line of the foot. There is a small chip where the crack meets the foot. There is another hair line crack running in from the edge of the foot. 'Golden crested wren' - A few minor scratches but not to the decoration.

A very fine crack or scratch to the glaze approximately 15mm long running down the inside of the bowl to the centre. Cup three - Two chips to the foot. Gilt worn in areas on the rim. Glaze scratches to the inside of the bowl

Minor wear to the gilding on the rim, 16.6cm x 9.2cm x 1.8cm high. Spoon tray three - Small chip to the outside of the rim. Minor wear to the gilding on the rim, 16.2cm x 9cm x 1.9cm deep.
