Bishop Hooper - "A Godly and most necessary Annotations in Chapyter too the Romaynes" 1551 Hooper was condemned for heresy and was burnt on 9th February 1555 - published by J Oswen this may be one of the earliest books published in Worcestershire. The book is listed in the Short Titles Catalogue of Books No 13756 There are book plates for Lewis Way Esq of Stansted and DP. It is further inscribed C W Dyson Perrins "Bought Sothebys Jan 1907 £23.10.0". C W P was grandson of William Perrins of Lea and Perrins Worcester sauce and also noted for the Dyson Perrins Museum in Worcester housing the collection of Worcester Porcelain.
