Doris Lindner (1896-1979) pair of pencil and watercolour on paper, 'Studies for Porcelain - a Fox and a Hound', each monogrammed 'DL', 9 cm x 13.5 cm, framed and glazed as one. Provenance: Estate of the artist; by whom sold Philips, 6th June 2001. Preliminary drawings for a set of menu holders, modelled by the artist in 1931-2 and subsequently issued by Royal Worcester as shape nos. 2953-2956. The models were altered by the Worcester factory, who filled in the bases, against the artist's wishes. ARR may apply to this lot.
