A Royal Worcester Porcelain Bird Head Ewer, the neck and spout as the head of a wading bird issuing from a crown, the handle fashioned as a gaping upturned fish with leafy tail, the conical body divided into four lobes, three of which are decorated in the manner of Baldwin with a group of swans taking off from a reed bed, in mainly grey, pink, red and gilt, within floral bands, printed factory mark in puce, date letter for 1887, printed and incised 1130, Y6, {28.5cm high} (spout restored and chipped). A Royal Worcester Parian Figure "Il Penseroso", modelled as a classical maiden looking pensively downwards, her robes edged with a gilt and blue line, upon a circular base with impressed title, impressed factory mark and incised letter F, circa 1862, {40cm}. The figure is sold together with a letter from the Dyson Perrins Museum Trust dated 1988 with confirmation of the above from the Honorary Assistant Curator, F E Laney.
A Worcester Seven Piece Botanical Dessert Service, comprising a tall tazza and six circular dessert plates, each piece centred by a painted flower including wisteria, rose, fox-glove and convolvulus, within turquoise bands enamelled with repeat stylised chrysanthemum and leaf motifs, the tazza upon three swept supports and domed base, printed and impressed marks in black and puce and dated (18)76, {26cm and 23cm respectively} (wear to enamels and gilding).
