A ROYAL WORCESTER VICTORIAN PORCELAIN EWER JUG. Gilded modelled salamander handle, ivory ground floral and blossom painted. Printed and painted factory marks to base, including the date code for 1888. 18cm HighCondition report: 18cm high. Some gilt wear, noticeable particularly on the lip & raised spines. Little scratch to one of the leaves, otherwise no chips, cracks or restoration.
TWO ROYAL WORCESTER BONE CHINA VASES, both hand painted with violet design, one of teardrop form with gilded neck / shoulder handles No. 288, 12cm high, the other of baluster form with gilded base, No. 285, 10.5cm high (2)Condition report: tiny flake chip to the underneath inner edge of foot rim (the one without handles). With handles – has a little rubbing to gilding, showing a green colour. Otherwise, no cracks or restoration to either.

There are manufacturing blemishes, little lumps & specks, a ‘lumping’ or running on the neck rims.
Nameplate BLACKWELL GRANGE ex GWR Collett Grange Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1936 as order number 308 and numbered 6806. Allocated to Penzance, Chester, Hereford, Oxley and 85A Worcester from where it was withdrawn in October 1964 and scrapped later the same year at Swindon works. In original condition as stored since 1966 but has suffered some water damage to the paintwork. The Grange was at Shipston-on-Stour Warwickshire.

He was educated at Nottingham High School; Worcester College, Oxford; and St Stephen's House, Oxford. Began his clerical career as Curate of Blidworth, Nottinghamshire, 1924-1927 and Curate-in-Charge of Chilwell, Nottinghamshire, 1927-1928. Appointed vicar of Ollerton, Nottinghamshire in 1928, and moved to St Lawrence, Mansfield in 1934. Keen local historian. His book The Story of Selston Parish Church Nottinghamshire was published in 1949. S/L Frederick Gregory (90731), F/O Sidney Roland James (122134), F/L John Granville Lingard DFC (44774) DFC. Acting Squadron Leader John Granville LINGARD (44774), R. A. F., 143 Sqn. This officer has completed much operational flying and has set a fine example of keenness and devotion to duty. He has led his flight and sometimes the squadron in numerous attacks on shipping and his great skill and inspiring leadership have contributed in good measure to the success achieved. One morning in June 1944, he led his flight in an attack on a minesweeper and four R boats. In the fight the minesweeper was set on fire and one of the R' boats was sunk. Squadron Leader Lingard has rendered much valuable service. LG, 25 July 1944. Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway 12in dial mahogany ebonised cased railway clock with a spun brass bezel and a wire driven English fusee movement with rectangular screwed plates probably supplied by Winterhalder & Hofmeier of Schwarzenbach Germany. The original dial is lettered LYR 3070 and the case has one side door and a bottom door secured with a brass catch. In working order but not checked for accuracy complete with pendulum and key. Ex Worcester Locomotive department and official BR receipt dated 7th August 1985 and a letter dated 28th November confirm this.
GWR cast iron cabside numberplate 3848 ex Churchward 2-8-0 built at Swindon in 1942. Allocated to Gloucester Horton Road, Hereford, Worcester, Severn Tunnel Junction and 81C Southall from where it was withdrawn in July 1965. Scrapped later the same year at Cashmores Newport . In original condition as stored since 1965.
GWR brass cabside numberplate 5002 ex Collett Castle Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in 1926 and named LUDLOW CASTLE. Allocated to Old Oak Common, Swindon, Worcester, Carmarthen and 81C Southall from where it was withdrawn in September 1964. Scrapped later the same year at R.S. Hayes / Birds Bridgend. Nicely face restored, rear original.

Allocated to Hereford and 85A Worcester from where it was withdrawn in January 1965. Scrapped later the same year at Swindon works. In original condition as stored since 1965.
