LARGE GOLD SET AMETHYST STONE BISHOP'S RING, having pierced foliate mount and foliate shoulders. Unmarked. The stone 23mm approx by 17mm. Leather Harman and Company of London box. Ring size U Provenance: originally the property of the Right Reverend Stanley Pickard CBE, former Bishop of Lebombo in Mozambique (1958-1968), originally from Birmingham, born 1910 and educated at Birmingham Grammar School. Became Arch Deacon of Msumba until 1958, became assistant Bishop of Johannesburg until retiring in the UK in 1983. Became assistant Bishop of Worcester and resided latterly with the Beecham Community near Malvern. A bequest. CONDITION REPORT: The stone itself has significant surface wear commensurate with use, including nicks, small chips and scratches, the mount and shank appearing good. Rather dirty overall, small area of missing gold around the join between stone and setting.

ROYAL WORCESTER PORCELAIN TWIN HANDLED VASE AND COVER having hand painted reserve panel of fruit on a mossy background, signed H Ayrton within gilt borders on a cobalt blue mottled ground. Printed puce marks to base, date cipher 1926, shape no. 2710. 29cm high not including cover. CONDITION REPORT: Finial on cover has old damage, had been glued but is detached. Otherwise no other obvious damage, some wear to gilding.

Printed puce marks to base, date cipher 1924. 31.5cm at widest point, 8cm high. CONDITION REPORT: Good overall condition, two hairline glaze cracks to base. Pedestal underside crazing in places but no significant loss. Minor wear to gilding.
BRITISH SCHOOL, (18th Century), figures in a wood, standing beneath a large oak tree, probably representing King Charles II and the Royal Oak in Boscobel Wood, Staffordshire, where the King hid from Roundhead soldiers after the battle of Worcester in 1651. Oils on oak panel. 32 x 27cm approx. CONDITION REPORT: Unframed, minor wear, mark to the outer edge where it originally had frame, no significant damage or losses.
