GLOCESTERSHYRE (SIC) AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES Two maps, the first showing Gloscestershyre(sic) and parts of Worcester and the second being of Herefordshyre(sic), Gloscestershyre(sic) and Worcestershyre(sic), both are original engravings from Micheal Draxtons Poly-oblion which was first published in 1612, 10" x 13" (2).
A FLIGHT & BARR WORCESTER MUG, monochrome painted with a maiden representing the City of London with veils of merchandise, scrolls of law and learning, anchor showing maritime interest, Manal crown - shield with the City of Arms in a simple gilt banded border, rim and base, mark to the underside LONDON - Flight & Barr, Wor. Manufacturers to their Majesties beneath a coronet, marks used, circa 1792-1804, 4 1/4" high The mug is sold with an old card suggesting that the decoration may be by John Pennington. His best known work is the so-called `Hope Service`, made in 1792 for the Duke of Clarence. He never signed his work, but his earlier monochrome painting bears definite similarities to this mug

Correspondence relating to the funeral of Princess Sophie and letter from George Duke of Cambridge.10. A 19thC Copeland Parian ware baluster vase, relief decorated with stylised foliage between gilt borders, embossed Crystal Paris Art Union and impressed factory marks to base, 30cm high, together with a Locke & Co. Worcester blush ivory vase with pierced scroll moulded shoulders above a leaf moulded body, 12.5cm high. (2).

A rare Flight and Barr Worcester Vase and Cover in the form of Vaisseau à mat of Sevres, the lid with pierced panels, the base having a painted view of Hampton Court, Herefordshire, with blue borders. Sold with copies of letters to Arkwright from Charles Schreiber in 1875 recommending it should be purchased from S. Wersheimer, 154 New Bond Street, London, which eventually amounted to £75. The vase is illustrated in Henry Sandon, Flight and Barr Worcester Porcelain, plate 31 Provenance: Arkwright family formerly Hampton Court, Herefordshire
