A Worcester sparrow beak jug, polychrome, decorated with flowers. Height 9 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This jug has a small chip to the point of the sparrow beak and a further 0.5 cm glaze loss running from the point of the sparrow beak. There is also an old small hairline crack approximately 0.5 cm in length (possibly a firing mark) running from the corner of the sparrow beak in to the body. The gilding to the top rim is mostly missing. The remainder of the piece is in good order with no further damage, repairs or restoration.
A collection of 19th and 20th century cabinet cups and saucers, including Royal Crown Derby, Royal Worcester, Aynsley, Buckingham Palace, Royal Albert, Worcester, George Jones, Hammersley, etc. (19 including three trios). CONDITION REPORT: None of these items are boxed and none have certificates. The Royal Albert Heirloom pattern trio is probably a second. The Victorian Worcester saucer has an old hairline crack to the base. The Royal Crown Derby Pinxton Rose plate is second quality as is the Royal Crown Derby green Derby panel saucer. All other pieces would appear to be first quality. No items have any damage, repair or restoration other than the hairline crack already mentioned in respect of the Victorian Worcester saucer.
A Worcester "Boy at The Window" teapot and cover, ovoid form, polychrome, decorated with Oriental figures. Height 14 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The lid has losses to the top of the flower head knop. The remainder of the lid is in good order. The teapot base has a chip to the inner edge of the top rim and various old significant hairline cracks which have had Victorian riveted repairs. There is a hairline to both the top and bottom edge of the spout and evidence of discolouration within the spout showing possible overpainting of the hairline crack.
A Worcester sparrow beak jug, polychrome, decorated with flowers and with blue internal lip border, crescent mark. Height 9 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is a tiny nibble to the end of the sparrow beak. Other than this the jug is in very good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration.
A Worcester "Boy at The Window" teapot and cover, globular form, polychrome, decorated with Oriental figures. Height 14 cm. (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The lid has old professional restoration. The knop is discoloured and shows overpainting. There is also a 4 cm section of the rim which is overpainted and now yellowed. The teapot base has no restoration but does have issues. The body has been broken in to several pieces and reglued. This is clear from both the inside and outside of the piece where hairline fracture marks are visible. The end of the spout is a little discoloured and slightly rough to touch.
A Worcester silver shaped sauce boat, polychrome, decorated with Oriental figures, circa 1760. Length 13 cm. CONDITION REPORT: - This sauce boat is damaged. The handle is in good order. The body of the piece has a hairline crack running from the top lip down between the Chinese figure and the dog for approximately 5 cm. This is visible on both the outside and inside edge. There is a chip approximately 1 cm from the end of the spout which also causes a hairline crack which runs for approximately 2 cm in to the body of the piece. The paintwork is in generally good order with no significant losses.
A Royal Worcester vase, decorated with roses, signed "H. Martin", green printed mark to base. Height 27 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This vase has had professional restoration to the top rim. There is evidence of a loss and overpainting to both the interior and exterior of the vase down to the gilt knop. Other than this the vase is in very good order with no other damage, repair or restoration.
A Royal Worcester handpainted cabinet cup and saucer, signed "F. Roberts". Saucer diameter 98 mm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is no damage, no repairs and no restoration to either the cup or saucer. The saucer has some minor scratches and losses to the recessed gilt centre and slight rubbing to the lip. The cup has very slight rubbing to the gilding on the top lip.
A pair of Austrian figurines, in the Royal Worcester style. Height 25 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The male figure has nibbles to both cap wings. The left hand side of the anchor is missing. Other than this there are no issues. The female figure has nibbles to the right hand gilt hair adornments. The top of whatever she was holding in her hand is missing. Other than this there are no issues. Neither have back stamps. The male figure is simply stamped "Made in Austria" to both the package behind the anchor and the base. There is also a crown stamped to the front of the bottom parcel.
A Royal Worcester coffee service, cased, 6 cups, 6 saucers and 6 enamelled Sterling silver spoons, the case stamped "Reid & Sons, Newcastle Upon Tyne" (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: All saucers are in generally good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There are minor scratches to the surface of the centre gilt recess but no significant issues. The underside edge of one of the foot rims is lightly rough to touch where the glaze is a little thin. All cups are in good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. Two of the spoons have very small enamel chips but no significant issues.
A pair of Worcester porcelain dishes with lobed edges, polychrome, decorated with floral bouquets and sprigs, third quarter 18th century. Diameter 19.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Both dishes have been repaired. They have both been broken in two and professionally restored but probably a long time ago. Much of the old overpainting is now not present revealing both cracks. The cracks should both be visible from our image. We do not think that there are any losses to the plates simply the cracks and minor losses to the painted pattern.
A Worcester butter boat, polychrome, decorated with flowers. Length 9.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a hairline crack across the bottom scroll of the spout. There is some rubbing to the red line around the top of the rim. This is minimal. The body of the butter boat is in good condition and there is no repair or restoration.
A late 19th century Royal Worcester porcelain pot pourri jar with pierced cover and original inner lid, shape 1313. The ivory ground lobed body painted with apple blossom, harebell, clematis and japonica, Rd No.112588, height including lid and gilt handle 20cm. Condition Report: Very slight scratching and wear, but no damage.
A Worcester Queen Charlotte pattern jug and a Worcester sparrow beak jug, blue printed with birds. Each damaged. Condition Report: The larger jug has a large crack and is repaired with glue, has a chip to lower rim and makers mark. \small jug has cracks by the spout and a chip on the spout. Neither has restoration.
An early 19th century Staffordshire mug painted with two boys with their whips and tops 'For My Dear Boy', together with a Worcester style coffee can. Condition Report: The mug has wear to the rim and handle and cracks in base, the coffee can has a small rim chip. Otherwise commensurate with age
