A rare Worcester barrel-form Jug, c.1765, the body with hoops top and bottom, and with a rosette and leafy scrolls moulded in relief, the ground in underglaze blue with flowers, leaves and network, crescent mark, spout minute flea bite, 7cm This pattern, largely found in colour, but illustrated in 'Worcester Blue and White Porcelain', Branyan, French & Sandon, 1981, p.279, is, where found, on a plain barrel form. CONDITION REPORT: Tiny chip to rim of spout.
