A Royal Worcester pot pourri and cover, date code for 1910, decorated with Highland cattle in a mountainous landscape by John Stinton, a loch scene to the reverse, having a moulded leafy scroll lid and shoulder with similar handles and base, all on a gilt foot, printed marks, shape 1515 (lid broken and glued) height 20.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: There is a good 60% of the interior lower rim missing on the lid. The lid has been broken one third across and this broken piece has been further broken in half, it has been poorly glued together but appears to be all intact with no obvious losses. Please see further images re damage. The main vase appears to be in good order throughout with no obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The vase rings out nicely when lightly tapped. The decoration is free from any scratches or surface marks. The handles are intact and again free from any flaws.
A Royal Worcester porcelain pot pourri vase and cover, date code for 1912, cylindrical form, with four pierced foliate scroll vertical panels, with applied serpent handles, painted with a stork on a rocky outcrop beneath vine fronds, by William Powell, green printed marks, shape G431, 17.5 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The body of this vase has been extensively cracked and glued on the side with the stork. The panel to the left of the stork has also been cracked and broken and shows small chips along the cracks. The lid is in good order throughout. Large fine cracks to the body.
A Royal Worcester pot pourri and cover, date code for 1909, decorated with sheep in a mountainous landscape with lake, signed by Harry Davis, the reverse with a fellside view, with leafy moulded lid and shoulders, scrolling handles with a moulded base upon a gilt circular foot, printed marks, shape 1515. Height 20.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This item is in good order throughout with no obvious chips, cracks or losses. The painted decoration is free from any surface scratches or faults. There is a very fine amount of gilt rubbing on the top part of the rim but otherwise all intact and in good order.
A pair of Royal Worcester twin handled vases painted by Harry Davis, date code for 1908/09, each painted with sheep in a mountainous landscape, the reverse with a fellside view all beneath a moulded bellflower band neck upon a circular foot, printed marks, shape 2247, 19 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The vase with the sheep illustrated on the left hand side of the lake has a large circular crack which is visible on the exterior and the interior. There are two minor chips in this crack which should be visible from online images. Issuing from the bottom right of this crack is a further fine hairline crack which goes down to the base. The base has been broken off and glued. The gilding is 20% rubbed on the rim. The vase with the sheep on the right hand side of the main scene appears to be in good order throughout. There is light rubbing on the gilding on the rim. Other than that there are no obvious chips, cracks or losses. There is a very faint and fine surface scratch approximately 1.5 cm to the right of the uppermost sheep, this is not instantly obvious but is there all the same. There are two very small patches to the foot rim where the gilding has come off.
A set of ten Royal Worcester handpainted lepidoptery dessert plates, date code for 1874, each of octagonal form and decorated with a variety of butterflies and moths amongst blossoming branches and flowers, with moulded gilt rims and printed and impressed marks, pattern number 9338, 22 cm diameter (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The plate with the blue butterfly rings out nicely when lightly tapped. There are small patches of enamel missing from the blue butterfly. There is very light gilt rubbing to the rim specifically at the top and bottom edges. The plate with the two butterflies and dragonfly has excessive gilt rubbing to four sides on the rim. A further side has slight rubbing. The main decoration appears to be in good order. The plate rings out nicely when lightly tapped. The plate with the orange butterfly with blue tips has very light gilt rubbing on the pointed edges. The yellow moth in the main picture has very light enamel rubbing. The main orange butterfly has lost the blue colour from its bottom wing tips. The plate rings out nicely when lightly tapped. The plate with the red butterfly and small yellow butterfly appears to be in good order, it rings out nicely when lightly tapped. There is gilt rubbing on all edges. The main enamel decoration appears to be in good order. The plate with the butterfly with red spots rings out nicely when lightly tapped, the main butterfly has lost the majority of its colour and that which remains is faded. All other enamels appear to be in good order. The gilt rims also appear to be in good order. The plate with prunus and lotus flowers has very light gilt rubbing to the edges. The main decoration enamel appears to be in good order throughout. The plate rings out nicely when lightly tapped. The plate with the small butterfly with pink and yellow wings has light gilt rubbing to each corner point. The main butterfly appears to be in good order but the colours are ever so slightly faded. The floral decoration with the white flowers has lost the colour in the flowers. There is a 6 cm very fine hairline crack within the glaze on the underside of the rim just below the pattern number. This crack can also be seen on the top side. The plate with the small lavender butterfly has excessive gilt rubbing to three sections of the rim. The main brown and red butterfly colours are faded and lightly scratched. Otherwise the plate appears to be in good order and rings out nicely when lightly tapped. The plate with the red and white butterfly with purple insect rings out nicely when lightly tapped. The enamels appear to be in good order on the butterflies, flowers and insect although there is slight rubbing on the branches. There is very light rubbing on the points of the rim. The plate with the large butterfly and wasp rings out nicely when lightly tapped, the main butterfly colours are faded. The remaining enamel decoration on flowers and wasp appear to be good. There is very light gilt rubbing on the rims.
