A Chinese porcelain bowl decorated with prunus blossom and bearing character marks to base, together with a 20th Century Chinese porcelain bowl decorated with hunting scenes and a modern Delft ware charger CONDITION REPORTS Prunus bowl approx 20.5cm diameter, chipped and cracked. Plate chipped. Hunting scene bowl with chips and scuffs. All items with wear and scuffs.

A collection of walking canes and umbrellas, comprising: a gold mounted malacca cane, a carved ivory handled cane decorated with two hunting dogs to a white metal ferrule and a malacca shaft, an ivory handled cane with an ebonised shaft, a silver handled cane with initials `R.C.T OCT 27TH 1887` by Brigg, with a malacca shaft; a horn and silver mounted cane with a crook handle, a malacca cane with a horn handle, a white metal handled cane and four umbrellas, one by Brigg with a silver handle, two others with silver mounts and gold and mother of pearl handled example, and an ivory handled umbrella, with monogram, late 19th century. MYSIA, Lampsakos. Circa 394-350 BC. AV Stater (17mm, 8.45 g, 4h). Head of the hunter Aktaion left, with stag’s horn above forehead / Forepart of Pegasos right within shallow incuse square. Baldwin, Lampsakos 33 (dies I/– [unlisted rev. die]); SNG France 1145; Boston MFA 1597 = Warren 1018 (same obv. die); Gulbenkian 964; Jameson 1434; Pozzi 2230 (same obv. die); Warren 1019 (same obv. die). Superb EF, minor marks on reverse. Extremely rare, and a spectacular coin of great beauty. Ex Mieza Collection (Nomos 7, 15 May 2013), lot 121; Nomos 3 (10 May 2011), lot 110; Gemini IV (8 January 2008), lot 149.Aktaion was a famous hunter who learnt his skills from the centaur Chiron. It seems that one day he accidentally came upon Artemis bathing: she was so angered by him seeing her naked that she transformed him into a stag and he was set upon and torn to pieces by his own hunting dogs. Her we see the start of the transformation process, with the horn just coming out of his head. This later became a favorite scene for a variety of Renaissance and Baroque painters since it allowed the depiction of an often considerable number of nude bathing women (more serious paintings of this event had appeared on Attic black and red figured pottery of the 6th and 5th cenuries BC).
A mid-19th century French hunting sword, tapered DE blade 19½” with deep double fullers, the hilt having cast iron crosspiece with dog’s head quillons, the block embossed with boar and stag’s heads, the cast iron pommel, in the form of lion mask, with bulbous ribbed horn grip. Basically GC (the blade lightly pitted overall with deeper pitting near the point).

A Mixed Lot comprising: a Wedgwood Green Jasperware Squat Jug, decorated with classical figures; a Copeland Jug decorated with stag hunting scene and a further unmarked Brown Jasperware style Squat Teapot, various sizes, largest 5” high (3) Condition: Khaki Jug has small firing cracks around pourer and small glaze to rim. Raised decoration appears intact. Green jug with minor scratches to outside and loss of raised decoration to one of the classical runners. Teapot has minor chip to inside of rim (above line concealed by the lid) quitea large chip/loss to spout. Raised work appears intact to teapot but slight loss to oak leaves on the lid.
