ADAM KUCHENREUTER IN REGENSBURG, CIRCA 1865 with browned octagonal barrels rifled with eight grooves, stamped with the gold-lined maker`s stamp (Neue Støckel 624) enclosed by the gold maker`s name and the inscription `Guss Stahl`, inlaid with a pair of slender gold lines at the breech, engraved case-hardened breeches and bolsters, engraved case-hardened breech tangs numbered `1` and `2` respectively, flush-fitting folding adjustable peep-sights, engraved stepped flush-fitting case-hardened locks decorated with scrolls on the tails, a pair of chamois and a stag respectively, double set triggers, figured walnut half-stocks (minor scratches and bruising), cut with a shaped panel of fine chequering over the grips, the butts with raised cheek-pieces carved with the full crowned ducal arms behind on the left and with patch boxes fitted with engraved case-hardened steel covers decorated with differing alpine hunting scenes on the right, carved scrolling trigger-guards with engraved case-hardened steel forward portions, engraved case-hardened steel mounts comprising shaped side-plates with neo-rococo ornament, butt-plates, three ramrod-pipes, escutcheons with the owner`s gilt initials, and barrel bolt escutcheons, horn fore-end caps, a pair of sling swivels, with much original finish throughout, and each with its German silver-tipped ramrod 59.5cm; 23 1/2in barrels (2)

A 15 BORE AUSTRIAN FLINTLOCK SPORTING GUN BY AUGUSTIN SCHÖFEL IN WIENN, CIRCA 1750 with two-stage sighted barrel, tang engraved with the numbers `10` and `no. 24 (rubbed), signed bevelled lock engraved with a water fowl hunting scene, figured walnut half-stock (probably an early working replacement) with raised cheek-piece, brass mounts (rubbed, repairs) including solid side-plate decorated with a staghunting scene, trigger-guard, butt-plate and rear ramrod-pipe each decorated with a standing hunter enclosed by rococo scrolls, horn fore-end cap, and horn-tipped wooden ramrod 100.5cm; 39 1/2in barrel Augustin Scheffel is recorded in Vienna and Bohemia circa 1728-59.
A FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS BY EDWARD 1 NORTH, LONDON, CIRCA 1750 with brass barrel formed in two stages, swelling towards the muzzle, inscribed `London`, stamped with the barrelsmith`s mark, engraved with foliage and moulded at the breech, engraved steel tang, signed border-engraved rounded lock, figured walnut full stock carved with a scallop moulding behind the tang (fore-end cracked), brass mounts comprising pierced trophy-of-arms side-plate, butt-plate engraved with rococo ornament and a trophy-of-hunting, trigger-guard with early acorn finial and a rococo flower on the bow, vacant escutcheon with a green man mask beneath, two moulded ramrod-pipes and contemporary horn-tipped wooden ramrod 80.5cm; 31 3/4in Edward 1 North (died 1761) was made free of the Gunmaker`s Company in 1729 and became Master in 1753. He is recorded behind the Royal Exchange at Threadneedle Street and was Member and Armourer of the Honourable Artillery Company from 1733.

A reproduction of a rare powder flask, the original by James Dixon & Son, `Hunting We Will Go`, the patinated copper body embossed with allegorical scene of a hunters prowess, trees part the flask into four scenes each decorated differently, the first with a mother and child asleep above a hunter shooting waterfowl, the second with a mother and child in a vineyard as hunter aims at a fleeing fox and a rabbit on its hind legs, next is the mother and child seated above the hunter taking aim at fleeing boar, and lastly the mother and child sleeps above the hunter blowing his horn in victory of felling a stag, (557) (losses and later additions). An Edward VII 1888 pattern bayonet, the double edged 12in. blade stamped with crowned E.R., complete with leather and metal scabbard; together with a British dagger, the 7 in. double edged fullered blade stamped `Mk.I.42 M.I.L K6`, complete with leather and metal scabbard, and leather frog; and a German hunting knife, with deer hoof handle, in leather scabbard. Krishniam Chetty and Son, Bangalore with elephant head and trunk chased handles, the teapot with a standing elephant finial, the spout an elephant`s head and trunk.
