Sivas carpet of classic hunting design on a rose field, east Anatolia, early 20th century, 11ft. 2in. x 8ft. 2in. 3.40m. x 2.49m. Overall even wear. Note the profusion of animals in the field; the serpents forming cloudband shapes and the winged mythical animals in the rich dark blue spandrels; floral cartouches and rosettes in the ivory main border. A most attractive carpet of good colour.
Victorian silver whistle in the form of a hunting horn, with suspension chain (London 1877), maker - T. J., 6.5cm across CONDITION REPORT General overall condition very good - some minor wear and surface scratching commensurate with age and use. Some very small dents towards front of horn. No other signs of damage of repair. Difficult to say if inside is intact as piece does not open, but it works. Marks are clear
Early 20th century leather cased hunting canteen with silver plated sandwich box and glass flask with plated mount, with leather straps for saddle mounting CONDITION REPORT Scratching to sandwich box, otherwise box and flask are in good condition. The leather case is a little worn along the edge but not too bad
