Hunting – Isle of Wight manuscript poem probably in the hand of Sir Thomas Worsley (d. 1768) written in doggerel verse and concerning the Isle of Wight Harriers. Written on two sides of a folio sheet a little soiled but clearly legible throughout. Affixed to verso is a press cutting with the text of the poem and a covering letter from the eminent architect Sir Percy Stone explaining that he had just found the ms and providing genealogical information on Worsley and his family.

A mid-18th Century hunting sword, straight single-edged blade 22 3/4 in. with ‘false’ back edge for the last 8 in., with gilt highlighted engraved decoration and retaining traces of blueing, brass mounted hilt with scrolling quillons and domed pommel with turned finial, stag horn grips, lacks scabbard.
