The frame measuring 10½ ins x 60½ ins (26.5 cm x 154 cms).*
KRUPP GUSTAV: (1870-1950) Known as Gustav Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach. German Industrialist. He ran the Krupp industry 1909-41. Indicted for prosecution at the Nuremberg Trials in 1945. T.L.S., Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach, one page, small 4to, Hotel Astoria, Bad Gastein, 17th June 1939, to a General Consul, in German. Krupp tells his correspondent that he regrets not having enough time for clay-pigeon shooting every day, and invites him together with few more friends for shooting on the 8th of July, and further states `..how can I guarantee these gentlemen a clay-pigeon test-firing before the hunting season? May I ask you to visit me on Saturday 8th July 1939?..´ Krupp concludes saying “Weidmannsheil”, a traditional wish of luck between hunters before the hunt and with a very large and attractive signature. With blank integral leaf. VG £150-200 Bad Gastein is a spa Town in the Austrian state of Salzburg. At the time of the present letter Austria was incorporated into Nazi Germany after the March 1938 Anschluss.

A most attractive Rose veined Marble Bracket/Mantel Clock of French architectural design, the two train movement having Arabic numerals to a brass chapter ring, the nice quality brass mechanism striking the hours and half hours on a gong, the case having a dome, flanked to either side by three pillars, an upper ormolu frieze depicting in relief cherubs/puttoes hanging floral garlands whilst a similar lower frieze depicts a scene with figures on horseback and hounds hunting wild board. The movement numbered 3858 48 having a ''Marque Depose'' stamp, complete with winding and regulating keys. 12'' wide, 6'' deep x 13 1/2'' high approx.

A hunting pink, for the Spicer Family hunt, from Spye Park, Wiltshire, bearing seven large flat livery style buttons, engraved for the hunt, and four small cuff buttons, 2 engraved M. H., circa 1890, with a pair of buck skin breeches (stand not included) Condition report Report by GH To clarify - the large buttons down the front are engraved SPYE in decorative calligraphy, as are the two closes to the cuff. The two above the cuff are engraved MH, which stands for Master of the Hounds.

An early 20th century leather cased hunting canteen, containing a plated sandwich box and a glass flask, with plated mounts, and a leather cased flask, with plated mounts, both with saddle attachments (2) Condition report Report by GH The canteen is generally in good condition with wear and occasional nicks to the leather commensurate with age. The plated sandwich box is in good used condition with some small dents and knocks, and the flask is also in reasonable condition with one chip to the face, and a small amount of cracking around the spout. The top is stamped Swaine & Adeney Ltd, London. The separate leather cased drinking flask is also in good condition with nice patination and no obvious damage to the leather, and the conical shaped flask without any cracks or damage, the plated top with some rubbing but otherwise good. Overall, both these items are in good, usable condition.
An early 20th century leather cased hunting canteen, containing a plated sandwich box and a glass flask, with plated mounts, and a leather cased flask, with plated mounts, both with saddle attachments (2) Condition report Report by GH Both the sandwich box and the flask in the canteen, are in good condition with no damage to the glass and only normal amounts of wear to the plate on the sandwich tin. The lid of the sandwich tin bears the maker, Merry St James Street. The separate conical drinking flask is also in good condition with no cracks to the glass, but some wear to the silver plated top. The leather is generally in good condition with nice patination and a normal amount of wear. Overall both good.
