Thurler, Berne, gilt movement jewelled to the centre, micrometer adjustment, fully signed and numbered 111335, also on the cuvette, circa 1920, 50mm dia, in original Nardin leather box, the silk lid printed with medals and prizes, spare glass beneath recess. A 19th century mahogany and oak longcase clock, with an 8 day movement striking on a bell to a 13 inch painted arched and convex dial, signed Richd. Holt, Newark, the arch painted a hunting scene, the hood with turned columns above a shaped trunk door with moulded canted angles, with stringing on bracket feet, 89in (226cm).

A quantity of harness for the Wyburn & Co barouche, bearing the crest of the Duke of Buckingham. Comprising: Two bridles, two main reins, reins, two pairs of hames, two straps to join the harness to the pole, two pairs of trace straps, two saddles, two breechings, two collars (worn) The harness going with the coach affords an opportunity to see an example of the saddler`s craft of a past age and bears the coat of arms and crest almost certainly of the Duke of Buckingham, who became owner of the hall in 1784. Elaborately detailed, the Coat of Arms includes three talbots and the crest an enlarged one. The talbot, which is to be found in several places on the buildings, appears to have been retained as a crest by subsequent owners. The talbot was a fierce hunting dog used in the vast forests of earlier times.
