(26cm.) long (some slight retouching) - this amusing toy money banks representing President Theodore Roosevelt bear hunting, indeed on one of these hunts, Roosevelt refusing to shoot a tethered bear cub resulted in the invention of the Teddy Bear

A cast iron hunting dog group, raised on a rectangular plinth. Height to top of tail 81 cm, length of plinth 88 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The dog group is in generally good condition. The mark on the dog's left front leg is simply a rust mark. There are no breaks. Any imperfections are simply casting marks. Both dogs have rusty areas and the plinth is also rusty as one would expect. Some of the paint is lifting in areas.
The Waterloo Cup and Fullerton An interesting archive of photographs, record and account books, hunting diaries, press cuttings etc. from Shortflatt Tower in Northumberland, home of Edward Dent, breeder and trainer of Fullerton, arguably the greatest greyhound of all time and winner of three Waterloo Cups. The lot includes Edward Dent's manuscript accounts for training Colonel North's greyhounds (including Fullerton) in three notebooks, as well as scrapbooks with greyhound auction catalogues, press reports of coursing and hunting meets, etc. A family photograph album includes a several photographs of greyhounds including Gay City and Miss Glendyne in slips at Haydock. Also included are two 18th century account books and two early 20th century photograph albums, one with an interesting collection of photographs recording a military tour of India during WWI by W.E. Dent (possibly with the Devon Regiment) (qty)
Cuthbert Bradley (British, 1861-1943) Study of a foxhound couple signed lower right "Cuthbert Bradley / 1926" oil on canvas 29 x 60cm (11 x 23in) Provenance: From a Hertfordshire country house Cuthbert Bradley was born in Lincolnshire. He graduated from King's College London, where he studied architecture. He worked as a sporting journalist for "The Field" and as a magazine illustrator for "Vanity Fair". He also wrote books about fox hunting and painted scenes of fox hunting and polo A little dirty - old gilt frame is dirty and has chips Oil on canvas which has not been lined. The wooden stretcher has suffered from woodworm infestation. The paint layer is in a stable condition, there are areas of wear and abrasion across the surface. The thin varnish layer is darkened and uneven. The frame has numerous insect spots on the surface and losses to the paint layer.
Daniel Clowes (British, 1774-1829) Scenes with a Harrier pack - Unboxing, The Off, The Chase, The Kill; after Samuel Howitt's (1756/57-1822) engraved compositions of Hare Hunting scenes, published 1798-99 all signed "D Clowes pinxit / Howitt del"; The Kill also dated "1822" oil on canvas (a set of four) 59 x 85cm (23 x 33in) Provenance: From a Buckinghamshire country house All four paintings are executed on canvas supports which have been lined. The paint layers have localised areas of flaking and loss, the painting with a hare is actively flaking on a small scale. All of the paintings have a yellowed, dull varnish with various scuffs and scratches. The frames have suffered from wear and abrasion.
