A MULBERRY CHESTNUT SADDLE GIRTHGRAIN LEATHER HOLDALL THE ORIGINAL 'IT' BAG INSPIRATION Designed by Roger Saul in 1975 for the Hunting, Shooting, Fishing Collection approximately 50 x 30cmIt was repurposed by young designer Luella Bartley with Stuart Vevers and relaunched at Luella's New York fashion show in 2002, where Gisele Bundchen walked it off the runway. Thus making it the original 'It' bag inspiration. Condition Report: Signs of wear, creases to leather surface across the grain. Leather surface slightly dull and grubby overall. 1.5 cm mark to front, possibly ink. Small marks to surface leather, see photos. Interior with ingrained dirt to bottom of bag, especially corners. 2cm long mark to interior, other blemishes, see pictures, no major staining. Condition Report: Exterior fabric is creased and marked, particularly around the cuffs. One leather cuff also has minor rubbing and losses, see picture. A few white marks to near same cuff. A 3cm section of the interior lining has become unstitched along the seam where it joins the leather collar. There is a 4cm scratch to the leather collar, and another 7cm scratch, both photographed. A 1cm black mark to reverse of bag, near base. Green fabric to flap has a couple of white marks and a dark mark beneath the leather handle, on interior as well. Verdigris to brass buckles has transferred onto check fabric, see pictures. Slight creasing and rubbing to leather tie top.Six round rust spots to base of interior lining of bag, as well as a smattering of other small rust spots to base, sides and lip of interior lining of bag.
