He first came to attention for his performances in Gus Van Sant's films To Die for 1995, Good Will Hunting 1997, and Gerry 2002. A 20th century German hunting knife. Horn handle, complete with scabbard and smaller horn handled knife. Decorative blade with etched motto. Deers foot crossguard, with acorn finial to front. The blade marked Solingen. 48cm long. NOTE: From a private collection of German militaria comprising of both genuine and replica items. Some crazing. Slight production fault to horse's back left leg (hole in body). Green Hertwig/Katzhutte stamp above No 53.Rearing Huntsman: horse's front right leg crudely repaired. Some glaze faults around bridle and in horse's tail. Some crazing. Nibbles around base. Base marked with green H/Kat/house mark and EZ.Huntsman on prancing horse: reins missing. Firing crack visible at base of skirt. Reins present possibly later. Some slight crazing. Base with some nibbles and green Hertwig/Katzutte stamp above No 22. Also with sticker to base. Kunsthanel 'de Dissel' SoestdijkHuntsman on horse standing on all fours: reins broken and blue-tacked. Some glaze faults and colour loss from production. Also some paint losses from red coat post production. Some crazing. Base with some nibbles. Base marked with H/Kat house figure 'A' and German in green. Figures have all been out on display and are grubby.

Good machine woven English 'Celtic Hunting Rug' designed by George Bain, manufactured by Messrs. Quayle & Tranter, Kidderminster, about 1948, 6ft. 6in. X 3ft. 11in. 1.98m. X 1.20m. Surface mark to lower left corner and to lower left field; evident verso. An attractive rug with blue printed manufacturers label verso. Another rug of this design and size was sold at Bonhams, Edinburgh 21st August 2013, Lot 434, for 1,250 including premium. Two examples, possibly with different colourways, are illustrated in George Bain, Celtic Art, The Methods of Construction, London, 12th impression, 1987, pl. 38.
A matched pair of 19th century Continental ivory handled hunting hangers:, each with short curved single edge blade with clipped back point, some remains of engraved decoration to blades, over single cast brass shell with double quillon hilt and two piece ivory grip with four brass securing studs, 44cm blade length.
A William IV ivory handled mameluke by Andrews of London presented to Lord Charles Innes-Kerr:, the curved blade with single edge and clipped back pin, decorated with crown and 'WRIV' cypher over crossed sword and cannon within a laurel wreath, signed as per title to ricasso with Pall Mall address, regulation cast brass hilt with quillons, two piece ivory grip with Tudor Rose securing pins and laurel wreath mounted bullion loop, in a polished brass scabbard with double suspension rings, blade length 76.5cm long.*Provenance Formerly the property of Lord Charles Innes-Kerr, originally owned by his maternal grandfather James Charles Dalbiac then purchased by W H Potter as a memento of Lord Charles from the auction of the contents of Iron Cross House, Byfield, Northamptonshire. Iron Cross House was owned by Mr Potter and had been leased to Lord and Lady Innes-Kerr until 1916 as a hunting 'box'
