A VICTORIAN OAK AND MAHOGANY CASED EIGHT DAY LONG CASE CLOCK - S. YEATES, PENRITH (1858-79), having a swan neck pediment with brass eagle and ball finial, over an arched glazed hood door flanked by turned spindles. The trunk's short pointed door between reeded columns above a crossbanded base on bracket feet. The arch of the dial painted with a fox hunting scene - depicting a gentleman on horseback with hounds chasing, the fox in the foreground. The chapter ring with Roman numerals framing the makers name and two subsidiary dials, framed by painted spandrels depicting chasing hounds. Sold with two weights and pendulum. 227cm high
AN EARLY VICTORIAN 30 HOUR OAK LONG CASE CLOCK by William Craig, Haltwhistle (1834-1854), having a shaped and carved pediment over an arched glazed door, flanked by turned columns with brass terminals. The trunk's short arched door between canted corners with inlaid detail, over a plain base on bracket feet. The painted arch of the dial depicting a gentleman hunting with shotgun and retrievers in a rich landscape. The chapter ring having Roman hours, framing the maker's name and subsidiary seconds dial, all framed by contrasting spandrels, sold with weights and pendulum. 216cm high

The pointed arched trunk door between reeded pilaster, plain base raised on plinth. The arch of the dial painted with a game hunting scene, the chapter ring having Roman hours framing the maker's name and date aperture. The spandrels painted with various game birds. 213cm high.
