A Queen Anne japanned cabinet, the doors decorated with a chinoiserie hunting scene enclosing an arrangement of ten drawers, on a later giltwood stand elaborately carved with scrolls, flowers and foliage, 65.25in (165.5cm) h, 42.75in (108.5cm) w, 22.25in (56.3cm) d. Old damages and restorations, the hinges and lock escutcheon replaced. Provenance: Purchased from Biggs, 9th July 1974.
A Victorian Hunting Stuart silk scarf, 48cm wide; a red tartan silk stole with short fringe ends, 46cm wide; and a purple silk parasol overlaid in black lace with rustic form ivory loop terminal and carved ivory finial to tip, 78cm long (3), Provenance by family repute: The scarf and the stole were given by Queen Victoria to Sir James Reid, her personal physician from 1881-1901 and to Lady Reid who was a lady in waiting to the Queen.
