^An oak eight day longcase clock, circa 1800, flat top pediment, 12-inch arched painted dial, shell decorated corners, arch with a hunting painted scene, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and striking on a bell, 215cm high13.09.16, Top moulding is later, right hand side beading is missing below the hood, plinth with cracks, dial is faded in parts and with chips, missing and lifting in parts, brass ring missing to the winding hole, movement needs cleaning, with pendulum, weight is missing.
An impressive white marble and bronze mounted striking mantel clock, circa 1850, surmounted with a bronze hunting theme depicting dogs and a man on horse back hunting a stag, base with gilt bronze hunting theme mounts, 4-inch enamel dial, twin barrel movement striking on a bell, silk suspension, 72cm by 62cm14.09.16, Marble is discoloured, small chips in parts, gilding is discoloured, dial with chips and the signature is rubbed, movement needs cleaning, with a pendulum.
A c.1900 leather cased clear glass and silver plate mounted travelling/hunting flask by James Dixon & Sons, length of flask 25cm, and a Victorian horse hoof and silver plate mounted inkwell bearing plaque inscribed "Lightheart October 28th 1885" (2). CONDITION REPORT: Inkwell - tarnising to the plate. Interior badly damaged.Flask OK.
A collection of eleven Brocklehurst-Whiston Macclesfield silk to include "Sulgrave Manor", "Old Macclesfield", "The King's School", "Sailing of the Mayflower, 1620", "Little Moreton Hall", "The Gap House at Kettleshulme", etc, also three printed examples with hunting scenes, all framed and glazed, and a scarf (16).
