An early 20thC hunting and game trophy collection, known as "The Fenwick Collection", including two mounted Oryx antlers, Kudu mounted antlers, Topi mounted antlers, Impala mounted antlers, Grants Gazelle mounted antlers, Reedbuck mounted antlers, two mounted Reedbuck heads by Rowland Ward, Taxidermist, London, three Austrian Chamois mounted antlers, and two Austrian Roe Deer mounted antlers, three mounted fallow deer antlers and a mounted Fallow deer head. The African game trophies were shot during a hunting trip in British East Africa in 1903/04, for which Elsie Fenwick kept an extensive journal of all the game that was shot with accompanying photographs. Provenance: The Fenwick`s lived at North Luffenham Hall, Rutland. The collection was bought by Mrs S Piggott in 1948/49 and were on display at Stonecroft House, North Luffenham until 1986. They are owned by descent and have been in dry storage in Stamford until now.
