An interesting Volunteer sidearm in the style of a hunting hanger, slightly curved saw backed blade, 24", brass crossguard (similar to that on a cavalry officer’s boat shell guard), staghorn grip, brass cap and ball pommel, in its leather scabbard with military style locket, middle band and chape, with hanging rings. GC (chain knucklebow missing, blade polished over light pitting with heavy patches at tip, hole in locket)
