dating: Second half of the 17th Century provenance: Germany, Smooth-bore, octagonal, 14 mm cal. barrel, with adjustable rear sight and fore-sight, slightly bell-mouthed at the nozzle. Smooth tang. Beautiful internal wheel-lock, finely engraved with hunters and hounds hunting a deer, tree's trunk carved with anthropomorphic figure, spring cover with a rooster, cock with double dragon's head, pan marked 'Ch', spark arrester and sliding pan cover. Wooden, full stock with bone mounts, engraved with a lion, birds, steinbock, bear and floral motifs. Iron anatomical trigger-guard, lower base with two feet. Trigger with set-trigger. Horn-tipped wooden ramrod. length 112 cm.

dating: First half of the 18th Century provenance: Germany, Rifled, octagonal, turn-off barrel of a small caliber (8 mm), with brass fore-sight. Wide tang decorated with silver-inlaid hunting scene. Lorenzoni type loading mechanism with lateral lever, bronze cylinder and automatic cock loading. Smooth lock with oblique borders, with tank for the trigger powder and auto-loading pan. No lever's locking mechanism on the counter-plate. Walnut, short stock, finely chiselled with flowers in bass-relief, butt side with horn and bone wind rose. Fine, brass mounts engraved with floral motifs. Patchbox. length 97.5 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: London, Smooth-bore, round, twisted, re-finished, 19 mm cal. barrels, with rib signed 'Samuel Nock Regent Circus Piccadilly London Gun Maker to his Majesty', foresight; tang finely engraved with floral motifs and provided with silver escutcheon; fine, backward spring locks signed 'SAMUEL NOCK' and engraved with hunting and floral motifs, hammers with spring; wooden half stock with checkered grip and iron mounts engraved en suite. Trigger guard's tang acts as safety lock; complete with ramrod. length 115.5 cm.

dating: 1840 circa provenance: Leipzig, Round, smooth-bore, damascened, 16 mm cal. barrels, signed in gold 'G. Kreisser u. Weigandt in Leipzig', base finely engraved with floral motifs and with golden frames, rib with silver fore-sight among the golden beams, engraved and gilded nozzle; tang with sight and golden decorations. Forward spring locks, majestically engraved and chiselled with miniature hunting scenes and partially gilded and silvered floral motifs, safety locks engraved with a dragon's head, cocks chiselled with partially gilded fish. Briar-root, half stock, finely embossed with a wolf's head at the fore-end cap, with mother-of-pearl eyes, left side with hunting scene in high-relief and some parts with floral motifs, palm-rest and grip with fine milling, decorated with silver nails. Dark horn trigger-guard and butt-plate, partially embossed with foliage. Silver mounts, engraved with Diana with a hound, hunter with a hound and trophy and floral motifs. Right side with stamp 'N 50'. Horn-tipped ramrod. length 124 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Paris, Octagonal, one smooth-bore and one rifled, 17 mm cal. barrels, the upper signed in the center 'LEPAGE FRERES A PARIS', and at the base in gold 'BERNARD' among floral decorations, with rear and fore-sight; the lower with stamp 'E.B.', both barrels decorated with golden hunting and floral motifs, fore-sight; lateral, iron ramrod with brass tip, a club guide on the other side (for a bayonet?). Backward spring locks, signed around the cock, one 'LEPAGE FRERES' and the other '12 RUE D'ENGHIEN A PARIS', both finely engraved with floral and hunting motifs. Wooden butt with micro-checkered grip. Iron mounts decorated en suite. length 99.5 cm.

DE L'EMPEREUR A PARIS' among flower garlands, the ends decorated in gold with floral motifs on a slightly grained ground, fore-sight; marked under the barrels 'GASTINNE RENETTE CANN.R DEL EMPEREUR', dated '1862', with stamps 'GR' and stamps with order of the Legion Honour and serial number '2119'. Automatic extractor. Long, engraved tang and with gold inlays. Backward spring locks, finely decorated in gold with birds and wolf heads among floral motifs, false external cocks. Iron receiver, opening lever and trigger-guard, decorated en suite with the barrels. Wooden butt and fore-end (old break of the grip, restored). Fore-end decorated wit vermeil-inlaid shell, bird's heads, garlands and floral motifs; the two butt sides majestically decorated with vermeil inlays, engraved and partially pierced. Back part dominated by an Egyptian coat-of-arms, Horus in the center, with a hat and scepters above a scarab with horizontal wings, all under a small ermine surmounted with a turban and crescent. The coat-of-arms placed on a shell and framed with a flower and foliage net. A cartouche above the coat-of-arms showing a hound's head on one side and lion's on the other, above a hunting trophy, all framed with laurel branches, flowers and foliage. Butt-plate in pure gold, engraved with floral motifs in bass-relief. length 98 cm.
