Solingen` finely etched with stags and boars within scrolls, silvered cross-guard and shell guard cast with recumbant deers in relief, stag horn antler grip applied with plated acorn, domed pommel cast with acorn and leaves, 40cm overall, in its black leather scabbard with brass mounts stamped `22`, the shoe engraved with a stag within shaped cartouche, with leather frog and belt G. Eckenhoff was a retailer specialising in uniforms, sidearms and equipment for the State Forestry Service (Reichsforstbeamte), p124 Carter, Anthony, The Sword and Knife Makers of Germany refer. (1)
