A rare group of three 18th century English silver mounted salt glazed tankards, all possibly Fulham or Vauxhall, the first decorated with a hunting scene, a portrait of Queen Anne, the inscribed date '1728', and a silver band engraved 'Here's to ye pious Memory of Good Queen Anne in ye year of our Lord 1728 TW'. The second tankard is decorated in relief with three trees, on a two-tone ground, with labels attached to base, and the third is of two-tone form with simple turned band decoration, between 17cm and 21.5cm height. Roosevelt, For Gallantry above and a view of ships in front of the walls of The Grand Harbour in Valletta below, and people taking part in various sport and other activities on land and at sea including ball games, hunting, farming, polo on horses and water polo, scuba diving, swimming, sailing and fishing, transport by plane, boats and bus, a sun on the side below the stylised title scroll featuring a knight, a battle scene of an attack on World War Two convoys at sea, framed by a decorative border of oranges with coats of arms and Maltese cross emblems on top of the fruit and leaves. 1820 General Election: a rare pair of pink lustre jugs set with elaborate figural handles the bodies moulded with stag hunting scenes beneath bands of fruiting vines decorated in pink and green, one inscribed ‘Lambton for ever’ the other ‘Powlett for ever’, 135mm, Lambton chipped, cracked and stained (2)* Following the death of George III in January 1820 Parliament was dissolved on 29th February. In the general election that followed Lambton, known as ‘Radical Jack’, who reputedly spent not an inconsiderable (commemorative, commemorate, political) £30,000 and William Powlett, a Whig, were both returned for County Durham. A Chinese export famille-rose hunting punch bowl, Qianlong, painted with large panels of European equestrian huntsmen and hounds in pursuit of a hare alternating with smaller panels of birds amongst foliage, the interior painted with a panel of a hunter and dogs , (a.f), 28.5cm.diameter.
