A Mortlake (Kishere) brown stoneware glass-bottomed tankard early 19th century, applied with a panel of Adam and Eve beside the Tree of Knowledge, between the impressed initials 'JA', above a stag hunt scene, and two hunting jugs, one attributed to Portobello, sprigged with scenes of topers, trees and windmills above running hounds, some chipping, 19cm max. A small 19th century Scandinavian hunting knife, plated, facetted SE blade 3¾”, whale ivory grip, with plain silver plated lower band, carved panelled top, in matching sheath with silver plated top band and small belt loop, the tip carved in the form of a simple leaf. GC (2 small cracks to sheath).
A late 19th century German hunting sword, blade 16½”, SE for top half, with prominent pipe back becoming the central rib for lower DE half, etched with running deer and other creatures in foliate panels, brass mounted hilt, the turn down shell guard bearing Guards Star with eagle and motto “Suum Quoque”, S shaped studs and pommel cap, in its panelled leather scabbard. GC, (blade some wear, edge nicks and small dents).
