An over-sized 19th Century salt-glazed loving mug decorated in relief with stag-hunting scene and topers, 19.1 cm diameter excluding handle x 20.7 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Large chip to rim, overall with some wear and scuffs, quite a lot of firing blemishes and firing cracks including where handles meet body, and various firing cracks to the applied decoration, chip to one handle.
Fourteen 18th Century French miniature ivories set into silver mounted buttons, with foil backs, featuring hunting scenes, fishing scenes, maidens with animals, etc, 3.75 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS All buttons with tarnishing to the silver, and all buttons with some very faint light scratches. Button with the Man seated with dog; Leafy swag border is broken on riight hand side, and a split to the lower. Woman seated with dog, split / crack to rear of lady, and split behind dog. Running fom tail downwards. Split to the floral swag border. Woman seated with dog; Small split to the leaf border at lower. Woman with cherub; Part of tree is detached and loose, with another smaller piece broken off. Man fishing; where the land meets the border is split. Man with dogs and gun; Small part of tree broken off and is loose. Woman with accordian(?); some white dust in button. All with small signs of wear and tear. Glass fronts to buttons appear OK. The oval frames on which the buttons are mounted are not glazed.
A 19th Century Japanese Meiji period carved ivory panel of slightly curved form depicting a hunting party with quarry and deity hunters amongst the clouds looking on, 34 cm x 12 cm CONDITION REPORTS Block supports to the back have been re-glued. Ivory generally has some yellowing and discolouration and dirt. A few chips and a few areas of loss to the carved decoration but overall appears in reasonably good condition.

Badge. 10th Armoured Division WW2 cloth formation sign A good scarce example of pinky red fox’s mask embroidered on black disc. Removed from uniform.VGC Formed 1st August 1941 in Palestine from the 1st Cavalry Division. Fought at the Battles of Alam Halfa and El Alamein. Disbanded 15th June 1944 in Egypt. Fox's mask sign adopted as representing the hunting tradition of the formation's cavalry and yeomanry units.
German Third Reich Forestry Service sidearm / cutlass. A good scarce senior forester’s example, the 33 cm blade with etched panel either side depicting hunting scenes. Simulated ivory grips ornamented each side with three gilt acorns, gilt knucklebow joining the pommel in a deer’s hoof design; gilt clamshell guard. Housed in original dark brown leather scabbard with gilt mounts and acorn frog stud; complete with leather frog dated 1937, retaining aluminium wire and green thread knot. One acorn on reverse of grip a replacement, the others with verdigris.
