Three Copeland graduated relief moulded salt glazed hunting jugs, and a similar cheese dish with cover. CONDITION REPORT: The three jugs are in first class condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. They are very crisp and clean. The cheese dish and cover are both in extremely good condition also. There are no issues at all.
Hunting interest:-An Edwardian silver-fronted novelty photograph frame by Levi & Salaman, Birmingham, 1905, decorated in relief with a fox-hunting scene, depicting a man in top hat jumping a hedge, accompanied by a pack of hounds in hot pursuit, a lady riding side-saddle in background, wooden back with replacement strut. 24 cm. high x 19.6 cm. wide.Other than replaced strut there are some tiny holes worn through on rider's top hat brim, his hand, nose and edge of stirrup.

Fashioning him absolut, in the most necessary and commendable qualities concerning Minde or Body, that may be required in a Noble Gentleman..., 2 parts in 1, second edition, additional engraved pictorial title by Delaram with contemporary signature of William Fenwick at head, woodcut coats-of-arms and illustrations, with leaf X3 as both cancel and cancellendum in first part, with the variant "Printed for I.M." on the title of the second part, a little browned, M2 & 3 in first part stained (?supplied from another copy), one or two rust spots, cropped with loss to some head-lines, modern morocco, [Gibson 521; STC 19504], small 4to, for Francis Constable, 1634. ⁂ Manual written for the eight-year-old son of William Howard, Lord Arundel, and covering all subjects befitting a gentleman including conduct, the arts (particularly practical advice for drawing & painting), literature, heraldry and exercise (running, swimming, horsemanship, archery, hunting, hawking etc.). The second part is titled 'The Gentlemans Exercise'.
Dodgson (Charles Lutwidge) The Hunting of the Snark, first edition, presentation copy inscribed by the author, wood-engraved plates by Henry Holiday, hinges weak, original pictorial red cloth, gilt, very slight rubbing to spine ends and corners, spine a trifle darkened, else a fine copy, preserved in cloth chemise and morocco-backed cloth slip-case, [Crutch 115], 8vo, 1876. ⁂ A fine association copy, inscribed by Dodgson on the day of publication: "William M. Wilcox from his affte. Cousin & Godfather, the Author. Mar. 29. 1876" on half-title. Dodgson's own copy, sold at the sale of his books in 1898, was dated 30th March. Provenance: Blairhame booklabel to front pastedown.
