Lawrence, T. E. An unbound set of proof sheets for Oriental Assembly, with a few pencil corrections by Walter Armytage, loose, in cloth case, 1939; together with a copy of the published work (2) A note in this copy reads, 'W.S.A. 1939. These photographs were all identified by me at the Imperial War Museum and the proofs compared with the originals and the negatives. I searched for 'Seal-Hunting in Mesopotamia' (see p.3) through long runs of various periodicals in the British Museum without success. Walter Armytage.'

A Pair of Stylish 20th Century Danish Cast-Iron Candlesticks by Jens H. Quistgaard ( 1919 - 2008): Incuse stamped under base "Dansk Design Denmark IHQ", the slender square columns surmounted by open-work capitals, spread circular base: H 44cm Footnote:- From the 1950's Quistgaard ground-breaking designs became synonymous with Scandinavian "modern" and found their way into homes around the world. The designs were strong, bold and industrial, and for this style of work he received the Neiman Marcus Award. Quistaard is best known as sculptor and designer for the American company Dansk Designs. From an early age Quistgaard demonstrated an interest in working with metalware as he was influenced by his parents creatively, and within the "Artistic" family surroundings, he created a small workshop where he hand-made items of jewellery, bags and hunting knives. No doubt his father was a great influence as, in later years, he trained at a technical college in Copenhagen, where he learnt his skills as a silversmith and artist.
