A selection of hunting trophies of mostly West Country interest, comprising; six fox masks mounted on wood shields including an example for the Tiverton Foxhounds (Ducksmoor April 5th 1939); an otter pad mounted on a wood shield, paper label for Rowland Ward Ltd. verso; a fox pad mounted on a wood block named for the Eggesford Foxhounds (March 15th 1939); three brushes, to silver mounted, the third with silver-plate mount; and a Blackbuck (Delhi 1893). Provenance: Sold on behalf of the executors of Sir Peter Llewellyn Gwynn-Jones, KCVO (1940-2010). He was a long-serving officer of arms at the College of Arms in London. He was Garter Principal King of Arms, the senior officer, from 1995 to 2010.

A collection of pictures incl. one by Josephine Marsh depicting a pride of lions, Women harvesting corn, a wooden circular flower frame containing thatch cottage, two circular studded framed pictures of children playing in the snow, children fishing plus two circular prints of hunting scenes.
Fine 19th Century Hunting Swords single edged short blade with sharpened back edge point. Shallow central fuller. The top of the blade etched with foliage and line panels featuring a stag to one side and a boar to the other. Cast brass clam shell decorated with dogs hunting a boar which is continued to the brass crossguard and ferrule. The knuckle bow and quillon with floral decoration. The heavy brass pommel decorated again with stag hunting. Stag antler grip. Minor staining to blade. A good example.
