A Regency ebonised, gilt wood and brass harp frame by Sebastian Erard, 18 Greta Marlborough Street, London, patent no 1635, the upright column carved with angels above trailing flowers, palmettes and ferns, the main frame painted at the base with classical maidens playing lyres, the base carved with sea horses, crossed hunting horns and palmettes, 173cm high.
A mid 18th century Italian walnut and marquetry inlaid bombe bureau the ivory and wood panels depict hunting scenes the galleried top above a shaped fall revealing a strung interior with drawers and pin hinged triangular doors to three long shaped drawers each with an open cast gilt brass handle on short tapering legs to scroll toes 47in (119.3cm) h 47.5in (120.6cm) w 22in (56cm) d.

A DSC GROUP OF FIVE MEDALS. 15CT Gold Medal QEF 1915 2nd L Horse, Best Horseman and Buck Jump Rider, initials GPG on front. DSC for Minesweeping Duties, in the Eastern Mediterranean, Lt G R P Gilpin RNVR 1917. Supp LG 14/5/1918. For Honours and Services in the Auxilary Patrol. Trio named to Lt G R P Gilpin RNVR. Lt Gilpin entered a contest in 1915, as a £5 prize was awarded, money was tight, winning Mr Scuthorpes Gold Medal, also the £5 cash prize. Serving in Gallipoli with the 2nd L Horse, later commissioned RNVR. He married the 2nd daughter of Viscount Allendale, spending much time in Ireland, where he lost his sight, due to Hunting Accidents. He was considered by many as the Wildest Man in Ireland, an operation partially restored, the sight in one eye C1930. Copy Photograph of Recipient and further details, with the group.
