18TH CENTURY AND LATER BRASS FACED TWO TRAIN EIGHT DAY LONG CASE CLOCK marked Walter Prestidge of Towcester. The later carved, heavily decorated case having caddy hood with square aperture flanked by two term carved figures, the waist door now heavily carved with quarter readed pilasters and figural mounts, similarly carved panel base on later bracket feet. The brass face with silver chapter ring and centre field, having Roman Numerals and date aperture, having gilded foliate spandrels, two train brass baluster pillar movement striking on one bell. Movement and face are not matching. 11" square face. Overall 86" (220cm) high. (A marriage and much altered). CONDITION REPORT; Overall in good condition, however face movement and case are associated and not original to one another. Carving also much later.
