An early 19th century inlaid mahogany tea caddy, decorated with a shell and a bird, with ivory escutcheon, (lacking internal lids), 12.5cm x 18.5cm x 13cm CONDITION REPORT: There is a section of the box wood stringing lacking to the right hand side of the lid and the remaining section is lifting. Other smaller losses including the thin veneer to the underside of the base at two corners. General age wear patina throughout.
