An Asprey’s of London coromandel and ivory cigarette box, of square form, with caddy top, ivory finial and applied gilt metal initials MB over four revolving corner twin section compartments for cigarettes and gilt metal liner ,on a plinth base, inscribed "Asprey London, Pat Applied For", 16cm high x 15cm deep.

19th Century satinwood tea caddy having inlaid banding and with allover neo classical painted decoration depicting dancing putti and birds amongst scrolling foliage, brass ring drops side handles, the hinged cover opening to reveal conforming decoration to the underside and with a later velvet lining, 35.25cm wide Condition: This box has been restored at some point, there is some replacement beading to the corners, work has been done on the base side of the lock which suggests it may have been forced at some point, there is craquelure to the decoration on the cover, original interior has been stripped out and replaced with velvet, no key - **General condition consistent with age
