A VICTORIAN BRASS OVAL TEA CADDY PROBABLY BY HARCOURT & ALLEN, MID-19TH CENTURY repousse decorated with panels of Bacchanalian revelry with cavorting cherubs, rams and a horse, the silvered interior with foliate decoration, with a lift-out hinged lidded oval canister, the base stamped 'H&A 68', with a further pierced lidded lift-out compartment, with a mahogany base, with key 15.2cm high, 20.6cm wide, 17.2cm deep Provenance By family repute, this caddy was purchased at the Great Exhibition of 1851. It is believed the maker was Harcourt & Allen of Birmingham.
