A French brass four-glass eight day mantel clock late 19th century the bell striking movement with mercury compensated pendulum and stamped ‘John Bennett London 64 & 65 Cheapside’ to backplate the two-piece white Roman numeral enamel dial with visible brocot escapement to centre the case with cavetto cornice over caddy moulded angles and bevelled glasses on plinth base incorporating bracket feet 27.5cm high.

A fine 18th century burr elm cased 8-day longcase clock, the twin train movement with anchor escapement, the arched brass dial with painted moon phase to the arch above a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, enclosing subsiduary seconds dial and date aperture, the hood with caddy top and gilded sphere finials, above glazed hood door flanked by inset quarter columns, the trunk with shaped door, crossbanded and inlaid with boxwood and ebony stringing, on a panelled base with bracket feet 241cm high.
