A 19th century ivory strung tortoiseshell tea caddy Of domed canted rectangular form, the panelled hinged lid surmounted with a bronze finial, above the twin lidded interior, the front inset with an engraved oval white metal cartouche, standing on bun feet. 18.25 cm wide. CONDITION REPORTS: Some small losses, some fading, some small restorations, general wear.

HERBERT DYER. A Herbert Dyer tea caddy decorated with St. Michael's Mount & a fish to the lid. Stamped 'H. DYER'. Height 12cm. CONDITION REPORTS: The caddy is in generally good condition, with minimal wear. The lid fits snugly even though the flange of the lid and the upper edge of the base has very minor distortion. All in all, in original condition for its age.

An 18th century pearlware tea caddy inscribed "Ann Gater 1784", height 10.5cm (af), also a 19th century mug painted with floral sprays and inscribed "Esther Gater, 1844", with various ephemera relating to the Gater family including birth and marriage certificates, photos, hair contained in matchbox etc. CONDITION REPORT: The pearlware tea caddy has several pieces of very serious damage to both the lid, the rim and patch to the body.
