19th Century Chinese lacquered tea caddy having typical gilded decoration on a black ground and on carved paw feet, the hinged cover opening to reveal a fitted interior with two engraved pewter canisters Condition:Top and sides of box heavily damaged and split (see photos-available on request) various losses throughout. There is wear to the gilding and decoration. Feet are chipped. Hinges maybe replacements. Inserts are in used condition, some misshapen areas, and wear to the decoration.

A George III silver tea caddy, by Pierre Gillois, assayed London 1764, of rectangular bombe form, having repousse foliate scroll decoration with rectangular cover terminating in wrythen finial, raised upon out swept stylised paw feet, engraved eagles head crest and mongram to one side, height 12.3cm. A silver circular dish, by Mappin & Webb, assayed London 1902, having plain well with broad pierced and repousse decorated rim with flowers, scrolling leafs, squirrels, birds and mask of Bacchus, with vacant reserve, and beaded border, diameter 23.5cm, together with a pair of silver circular bowls, by George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, assayed Birmingham 1899, having domed well repousse decorated with fruit, pierced side and flower and 'C' scroll decorated rim, diameter 15.3cm, a silver caddy spoon and various other small silver and white metal items.
