An early Victorian rosewood sarcophagus form tea caddy, the shaped cover with inset white metal plaque dated May 1846, opening to reveal a fitted interior of hinged pull-out compartments and space for mixing bowl, the body with brass lion mask ring handles to each side, mother-of-pearl escutcheon, raised on four flattened bun feet, 14 x 7 1/2 x 9in. (36 x 19 x 23cms) high.
