A Victorian silver cylindrical mustard pot, the flat lid with pierced anthemion pattern thumbpiece and the whole engraved with floral, leaf and circular cartouche ornament, 3.25ins high, by Henry John and Henry John Lias, London 1862 (weight 3.9ozs) and blue glass liner for same, a Victorian silver circular sugar bowl with spiral reeded sides, 4ins diameter, Sheffield 1882 (weight 3.3ozs), a similar sugar sifter spoon with "Onslow" pattern handle, a George III silver fiddle pattern caddy spoon, London 1817 and an Indian silvery metal beaker embossed with animals, birds and bold leaf scroll ornament, 3.5ins diameter x 3.75ins high, and a similar silvery metal rectangular box with re-entrant corners, 4ins x 2.25ins x 1.5ins high
18th century longcase clock with eight day five pillar movements, twelve inch square dial with pierced classical head spandrels, wheat ear border, matted centre with engraved dove and flower decoration, subsidiary second dial and calendar aperture, silvered chapter ring signed - Henry Thornton, London, in a green chinoiserie lacquered case, caddy top hood with three urn finials, 244cm overall height (weights and pendulum present, winding key and door key lacking) CONDITION REPORT General overall condition is good. Movement is dirty. Appears to be in working order, although we have not had it going. No evidence of major damage or repair. Rack strike. Dial is good, minor cracks to border on right hand side. Case is quite good, some restoration and upper part of back board has been replaced. Lacquering is good, although one area on front door above lenticel is damaged. Gold finish is worn in places. Hood is good, door is secured by hook that has damaged decoration. Gold finish has been retouched
Late 18th century longcase clock with eight day five pillar movement, twelve inch break arch dial with cast and pierced spandrels, matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, break arch with dolphin spandrels and cartouche, signed - Jno. Harrison, Norwich, in a carved oak case with inlaid herringbone stringing, caddy hood with three ball finials, plinth may have been reduced, 252cm overall height (pendulum, weights, winding key and door key present)
Good quality Victorian Jennens & Bettridge papier mâché tea caddy of bombe casket form, with finely painted romantic scenes and parkland lake views, mother of pearl inlaid decoration and gilt scrollwork, the interior with twin-lidded compartments - the base stamped with maker's marks, 22.5cm wide x 16cm deep x 14.5cm high CONDITION REPORT Good original condition. One hinge broken and the other loose and lid repaired around hinge. Locked lock and top plate pulled out. Some wear to gilding
