A George III harewood and marquetry tea caddy by Gillows of Lancaster, circa 1790, the top with floral inlaid oval panel, the front with convolvulus and an ivory escutcheon, stamped 'GILLOWS, LANCASTER', 6 ins. A similar tea caddy also stamped Gillows in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum is illustrated in Victoria & Albert Museum, Georgian Furniture, 1958, pl. 110 (c).
